Mentor Circle #2 starts – 12th July 2023

$220 / month (Invoiced as $660 per quarter)

Business & Advice coaching / Practice development

Join a welcoming and diverse adviser community and benefit from mentor-directed practice development.  Participate in an exchange of ideas, and find new opportunities.

Mentor Circle is Zoom-based group mentoring for:

  • Self-employed financial advisers; AND
  • Employed advisers interested in future practice ownership; AND
  • Former advisers forced off the adviser register seeking to pivot.

We meet at 3.00 pm (Qld time) every second Wednesday. You will be working on your business while working in your business.

(No CPD available. Building long term profitability is far more important than short term CPD)

Mentor Circle is ground zero for advice practice development for both experienced and inexperienced advisers:

Here’s how Mentor Circle works:

  • 2 meeting per month
  • Each meeting I will follow a formal practice development model
  • I will moderate subsequent group discussions
  • We will aim to cover one major topic each session
  • Meetings are supported by notes, articles, templates & audio
  • Catch up or revisit topics in the growing mentor library
  • Work on your own business at your own pace
  • You don’t have to share your proprietary ideas with the group
  • Email your progress to me (optional) & receive feedback

In mid-2023 Mentor Circle will continue with new priorities ($220 per month)

It will move seamlessly into Network Community

Once the February Mentor Circle group completes the initial phase of learning, planning and practice design, they will have the opportunity to seamlessly continue as Network Community.

The 2nd Mentor Circle group, commencing mid-2023, will undertake their fortnightly meeting program separately, and join Network Community in late 2023 / early 2024, and so our community will continue to grow.

We will also be open to new members joining – i.e. those who have chosen not to undertake the Mentor Circle Zoom program at all. New members will have the option to purchase Mentor Circle DIY Program at any time (without the Zoom meetings) for $660.

The main focus of Network Community will be group networking, (optional) cross-referral between members who decide to connect, and attracting new opportunities into the group which will be not be  available anywhere else. The networking component will promote the values of:

  • Innovative practice development
  • Professional friendship
  • Mutual problem solving
  • Group opportunities
  • Doing good in the world

Network Community will also be an opportunity for Mentor Circle participants to continue as professional friends who seek peer opinion, swap business ideas, solve client problems and create opportunity for each other. It is also an opportunity for the group to find new opportunities to bring to clients.

And last but certainly not least, the untapped potential of Network Community is to do good in the world as a group. The great irony of financial advice is that the help most sought after by low socio-economic and disadvantaged groups is rarely related to a financial product. It is basic money management education …. how to make financial headway in life. So the great potential of this group is not so much doing pro-bono work, as being able to apply the collective power of the group to those who need us most.  As the group grows, the potential impact will be enormous.
