HOME TUTORIAL & EXAM PACK $330
AVAILABLE NOW!
Please be aware that these are tutorial resources, not lecture material. The idea is to do the reading as per the detailed reading references and attempt the related practice questions. However, many advisers have successfully worked through the tutorial answer sheets (now including the audio answer sheet recordings) in the first instance, using them as study notes / recordings; and later returned to answer the tutorial questions cold.
You receive all of the same written resources used in the 10-Week Online Tutorial Program (they are identical); which provides you with a great home study plan and a structured path to follow. It allows you to test your knowledge – topic by topic, with the tutorial practice questions, and provides the opportunity to test your knowledge with an additional set of 88 practice questions (with answers) at the end. I also post a further set of practice questions on your resource page closer to your exam to give you as much practice as possible.
After a lot of positive feedback, I now include a 1-hour pre-exam group session via Zoom as a standard feature to help you prepare for your exam.
You will receive the following written resources:
- 11 x Tutorial Question sheets which include a structured Reading list with a breakdown of the FASEA legislation reading
- 11 x Tutorial Answer sheets with explanations
- Comprehension questions to help consolidate knowledge
- > 220 Practice Exam Questions in total across 11-tutorials
- Additional Resources (articles, exam insights)
- Online Group Pre-exam session LIVE via Zoom (1 week prior to your exam period)
- 35 technical questions with answers
- An additional 88-question self-assess practice exam with answers
- A final set of practice questions posted on your resource page closer to your exam
Upon registration, you will receive an invoice by email for $330 (including GST). Upon payment, I will be email you a link to a private page on my website where you will find all the resource materials listed above. Note this is a manual process, not automatic computer generated so there may be a delay.
TUTORIAL STRUCTURE & CONTENT
- The links to all tutorial written resources are contained on a single resource page. On the same page are links to legislation, ASIC regulatory guides, the Code of Ethics, explanatory statement and related guidance. For each of the 11 tutorials there is a reading reference and question sheet. There are at least 20 questions for each tutorial and sometimes more. For each of the tutorials there is an answer sheet with references and further insights and explanations. These have evolved into a good set of study notes by going over the material as a group in previous 10-week Zoom programs. (Note that the written resources are identical to those used in the 10-week Zoom program).
- Tutorials 1-5 address the main topics in the Corporations Act (e.g Wholesale / retail client, Essential definitions, Licensee / adviser responsibilities, FSG, SoA / RoA, Best interest duty, Breach reporting, Conflicted rem, Ongoing fees, Anti-Hawking, Civil vs Criminal penalties). I also use the relevant regulatory guides as well as the Corps Act. They are much easier to read, and have explanations and examples.
- Tutorial 6 addresses privacy, AML / CTF and TPB. Relevant reading references provided by FASEA are lacking. So I have provided many relevant references in these areas.
- Tutorials 7-8 cover the Code of Ethics.
- Tutorial 9 covers Provisional relevant providers and ongoing CPD.
- Tutorial 10 is a set of technical questions relating to various types of retail clients (advice construction).
- Tutorial 11 addresses a number of topics in the extension reading. This has been examined in previous exams. I have read and prepared a precis of the main points of two of the prescribed text books. And there are practice questions in other areas prescribed in the extension reading.

10-WEEK ONLINE ZOOM GROUP TUTORIAL PROGRAM $880
If you seek a weekly step-by-step online tutorial, then this is the option for you. This choice may suit advisers who haven’t studied for a while and those who need some regular face to face guidance. Even though everyone is a little shy in the first two weeks, the power of the group does grow throughout the program and helps everyone. And you find a few new peer contacts.
We meet online via Zoom each Wednesday afternoon, usually at at 3.00 pm (Brisbane time),. However, the first tutorial (29th July) will be held at 1.00 pm Brisbane time. It will help you a lot if you have done the week’s reading and attempted the practice exam questions before each tutorial, where we discuss the week’s topic and I go through the answers to the practice exam questions. You can ask questions at any time and there is no such thing as a silly question. I generally post the answer sheet on your page the day before the tutorial as your revision reference. If you have most of the answers correct, our tutorial discussion can focus around the problem areas. Each tutorial is about an hour in duration but can go a little longer depending on discussion.
All sessions are recorded (voice only) so you can catch up if you miss a week. Some people choose not to attend the Wednesday tutorials and rely on the voice recordings to guide their revision. That’s ok too. Upon payment you will receive a link to a private page on my website where you will find all of the resources you need.
You will also receive the following written resources:
- 11 x Tutorial Question sheets which include a structured Reading list with a breakdown of the FASEA legislation reading
- 11 x Tutorial Answer sheets with explanations. These form the basis of the weekly Zoom tutorial sessions
- Comprehension questions to help consolidate knowledge
- > 220 Practice Exam Questions total across the 10-tutorials
- 35 technical questions with answers
- Additional Resources (articles, exam insights)
- An additional 88-question self-assess practice exam with answers
- A final set of practice questions posted on your resource page closer to your exam
